Board Walk & Sunburned

The first night that we got to New Jersey we went to the Ocean City Board walk. I guess when I was younger I went there. But 9 years later I can't remember a thing about it. So it was like going for the first time. There were rides, mini golf courses and too many stores and restaurants to count.
There were also seagulls every where, which would have been fine if you didn't want funnel cake or fries but if you did you'll have to guard it with your life, because the seagulls will dive bomb and steal what ever you have.

So now about my sunburn. Yesterday morning I sprayed on globs of sun block. The only problems were that it was 15 spf and that the waves were really strong. So all in all I got burned. But it didn't look to bad last night, but when I woke up my face was swollen!! And when I was freaking out my grandma walked up and simply said " Ya it's probably from the sun, it should wear off soon." Then I thought "how can she be so calm, if my mom was here she would be freaking out with me while trying to make the swelling go down."  But since she's not I asked my Aunt for advice and so far the only solution is aloe vera.

Goodbye Houston & Hello Philadelphia

So at 4 am I got up and got ready to go to the airport and at 5:45 I boarded the plane.  My first flight didn't go very well and to make a long story short I was very glad I didn't eat breakfast.  But the second fight was great. I got some awesome pictures.

This is my second time to Philly and I'm having a great time so far. Tomorrow we are going to an aquarium. So I should be able to get some more great pictures. Houston is an amazing city but I'm glad to be away from the hospital scene.

Things That We Can't Control

Through out my life I have found out that we all try to control the outcome of life. If someone we know and love has cancer, we medicate that person so that he or she can live a little longer with us. If someone loses their job, we try and fined them a new and better job. If someone dies we try to bring them back to life.

What I want to know is why? Why do we try to change every thing, is it because we are so afraid of being alone or is it because we think we are so powerful that we can have every thing we want? Or is it that we are to afraid to let God's will be done.

Are you willing to let go of that eager to control every thing and give all the glory to Him? Then be brave and give it all up to Him. That is what I'm trying to do every time I remember that He healed the blind, He changed the lepers spots and He made water into whine. He can do anything, what are you going to let him do for you?
